Media release: Channel Islands Coop and Beresford Street Kitchen team up for a Mother’s Day with meaning
This Mother’s Day, shoppers at the Channel Islands Coop in Jersey can find more than just the perfect gift – they can also support an incredible local cause.
Through a special partnership with Beresford Street Kitchen (BSK), the Coop’s St Helier Grand Marche at Millennium Park is stocking a range of beautifully designed Mother’s Day gifts – all printed by BSK Print Works, a social enterprise that provides skills training and meaningful employment for people with learning disabilities and/or autistic people, offering them independence, confidence, and a real sense of purpose.
From stylish ceramic mugs to a beautifully designed tote bag, each product in the collection has been made with care by the talented team at BSK. The gifts are available until Sunday, 30th March (Mother’s Day), with BSK team members in-store on Saturday, 29th March, helping to promote the range and to talk about their work.
Richard Quinn, Interim Chief Retail Operations Officer at the Channel Islands Coop, said:
"We’re incredibly proud to support Beresford Street Kitchen and help raise awareness of the fantastic work they do. This partnership gives our customers a chance to pick up a wonderful Mother’s Day gift while directly supporting a local initiative that changes lives.”
BSK Print Works is just one of the charity’s initiatives, giving people the opportunity to develop workplace skills in a real business environment. Whether it’s in the café, catering team, or print shop, every person at BSK is supported in a way that builds confidence and independence.
Louisa Lempriere, Fundraising and Communications at BSK, said:
"This collaboration with the Coop is a fantastic opportunity for us. It allows our team to showcase their skills, connect with the community, and raise funds to keep our training programmes running. Every purchase directly supports the work we do.”
With this partnership, a simple Mother’s Day gift becomes something even more special—a way to celebrate not just mums and grandmas, but the power of community and inclusion.
The BSK products are in store now at Grande Marche St Helier, until Mother’s Day, priced between £8.50 and £12.95.
